In Spring of 2013 and together with the East China Normal University (ECNU), one of China’s first class pedagogic universities, S&P Consulting International Consulting Group have established the „ECNU-S&P Research Center for ICT-Enabled Systemic Changes and Innovations“ in Shanghai. The center will be co-managed by Prof. Zhu Zhiting, Dean of the Distance Education College at ECNU and Mr. Robert A. Sedlák, Managing Partner and Chairman of S&P Consulting International Consulting Group.
In preparation of taking over this significant leadership role, Mr. Robert A. Sedlák will be bestowed the appointment and title of Guest Professor at the ECNU on July 5th, 2013. He will hold seminars at ECNU, with an emphasis on subjects concerning the New System Theory. In the meantime, Prof. Zhu Zhiting will be appointed as Principal by the S&P International Consulting Group. With his wealth of experience, Prof. Zhu will accompany educational projects taking place in teacher-training in Europe.
The ECNU-S&P Research Center’s goal is to develop and validate appropriate concepts, models, methods and tools, effectively utilizing them as well as the modern information and communication technologies (ICT) within the context of change processes in organizations and in the education sector. In particular, the research will focus on which change impulses are triggered when using ICT and how these impulses will provoke sustainable culture changes, not only in education but also other sectors, such as business and healthcare. As part of the research, personality and competency profiles of a specific target group of Chinese teachers will be initially developed. As a result, validated personality and competency measurements will be adopted into the recruiting process, which will significantly contribute to the decision-making process concerning a candidate’s suitability.
In the stage that follows, innovative PERFORMANCE SIMULATORs will be produced as an ICT to significantly improve the teachers’ qualifications. This stage focuses on the teachers’ attitudes as well as the work’s culture-specific aspects. In addition, a Sino-German education platform is to be established, consisting of respective educational administration and research institutions in both Germany and China. This education platform will promote the bilateral communication and cooperation in mutual research topics, such as “Leadership in Education”, “Directing in Learning Process” and “Innovation in Information Technology in Education”.
The ceremony to appoint Mr. Robert A. Sedlák as Guest Professor will be held on July 5th, 2013 at the ECNU in Shanghai. The ECNU-S&P Research Center experts will commence their research projects in July 2013.
