ConceptsPersonnel

In many selection processes, only the professional qualifications of a candidate play a central role. However, the personality profile of a candidate is also a success criterion for a function. That is, because the personality structure has a significant impact on the success of employees – both within their functions and across the organization. Often candidates fail not because of their lack of professional qualifications, but because of their behaviors.

For a successful and sustainable recruitment, it is crucial that the candidate meets the specific requirements of the respective function, e.g. the way of carrying out the work. If an organization has valid personality profiles for the key positions, the possibiltiy of successfully identifying the right candidates will be significantly increased.

Development of a Validated Personality Profile

The personality profile is developed including the functional description and the organization-specific requirements. The personality profil will be validated at end. The validated personality profiles can provide verified statements on the personality characteristics required for a high performance. A comparison between the validated personality profile and the candidate’s Profile will then shed a light on the suitability between organizational requirements and a candidate’s profile. It will also demonstrate the associated opportunities and risks with the candidate. Moreover, the increase in the success likelyhood in selection and staff development will significantly reduce the costs of the wrong decisions in personnel selection.
